At Federal Brace, we believe in not only supporting our employees' professional growth but also their mental well-being. That's why we recently took an afternoon for a Mental Health break! 

In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the daily grind and forget to take care of ourselves. Mental Health Days are crucial for resetting and recharging our minds. They provide an opportunity to step away from work stressors and focus on activities that promote relaxation and well-being.

Studies have shown the positive impact that animals can have on our mental health. According to the International Veterinary Outreach, spending time with animals has been linked to reduced stress, anxiety, and depression. Dogs, in particular, are known for their unconditional love and ability to lift our spirits.

So, we decided to visit Gaston Animal Shelter and walk some of the pups that are cooped up all day! By doing this, we not only helped the dogs get much-needed exercise and socialization but also reaped the benefits of their companionship. We all certainly left feeling like we had made new friends, and 2 weeks later, we are STILL talking about them! One of the dogs may even be adopted from one of us!

Walking into the shelter, we were greeted by wagging tails and eager faces. Each dog seemed to sense our excitement and eagerly awaited their turn for a walk.

Federal Braces Company's Mental Health Day at the Gaston Animal Shelter was a resounding success. Not only did we have the opportunity to give back to our community and support a worthy cause, but we also took a much-needed break from the stresses of everyday life. As we continue to prioritize mental health in the workplace, we look forward to future opportunities for connection, growth, and PAWsitivity.
